Making a contract with us
When you place an order with us at www.contemporaryspaces.co.uk you are making an offer to buy goods. The processing of your payment and acknowledgment of your order (including sending you an email confirming your order is being processed) does not constitute legal acceptance of your order. Our contract is not confirmed until the goods have been dispatched.
Placing an order
You can place an order via our website www.contemporaryspaces.co.uk and following the instructions provided.
Once you have placed your order you will then receive email confirmation with the next 24 hours with the full details of your order and any further information.
The email address and postal address provided upon placing your order may be used to keep you informed of special offers, promotions and news relating to Contemporary Spaces and our products. If you wish to opt out of this, please contact us on [email protected].
We will store all of your data securely and will not pass the data on to any third parties.
We accept all major credit cards, debit cards and paypal payments. No card details are recorded or kept at Contemporary Spaces.
All orders are processed by our friendly sales team who are fully compliant with both Data Protection and Computer Miusue Acts.
The price payable for the goods you order or purchase is as set out in store and on our website at the time you submit your order or, if you order from one of our catalogues, as set out in the catalogue from which you order provided it is a current catalogue, plus any charges for delivery as advised to you.
Catalogue prices are correct at time of going to press, and we reserve the right to update prices in future catalogues which will then supersede the prices in any previous catalogue.
We are not obliged to accept your order or purchase for such goods and may decline it or limit the order quantity.
Occasionally, an error may occur and goods may be either incorrectly priced or described in which case we will not be obliged to supply the goods at the incorrect price or in accordance with the incorrect description or at all. We reserve the right to correct any errors from time to time. We will (at our discretion) either cancel your order and refund the price you have paid or use reasonable endeavours to contact you and ask you whether you wish to continue with the order at the correct price or correct description. If we are unable to contact you or you do not wish to continue with the order at the correct price or correct description, we will cancel your order and refund the price you have paid.
We reserve the right to cancel your order at any time before delivery and to refund the customer in full. We are not liable for any cost, loss or damages arising from the cancellation.
These terms and conditions relate to sales over the Internet and/or the phone with Contemporary Spaces. The contract made by you online or over the phone when placing an order with us incorporates these terms and conditions. By placing an order online through our website or over the phone you agree to these terms and conditions. They do not affect your statutory rights.
Product Specifications
We have endeavored to as accurately as possible describe and display the products on this website. However, we cannot guarantee that the pictures or photographs shown on your computer screen will provide a 100% replication of a product as there are a number of factors, such as monitor settings and batching that can affect the colouring of products as seen in a picture.
In addition, many of our products are made from natural materials and/or are handmade, bespoke or special order and therefore may not be uniform in colour or texture. Similarly, items purchased from different ranges but in the same colour may be subject to some variance.
Measurements
All dimensions specified on our website are approximate due to many of our items being handmade and within a tolerance range. Minor alteration may therefore be made by the supplier and occur during the manufacturing process. Please let us know at the time of ordering if a small change in size may make the item unusable. Information supplied by you must be accurate and we will not accept any liability for any extra costs incurred by you as a result of incorrect or incomplete measurements or information supplied by you.
Before placing your order please ensure that the products are suitable for your requirement and that you have adequately measured not only the space where it is to be situated, but also the access. Please be aware that it is the customer’s responsibility to ensure that any goods purchased can pass through the doorways, hallways and access pathways. In the event of restricted access the delivery staff will leave the goods at the nearest convenient point for the customer.
Prices and Warranties
All prices include Value Added Tax (VAT) and are subject to any discount or promotional offer.
In the event that a price has been displayed in error on our website we will not be bound to supply the goods at the incorrectly advertised price and in these circumstances a refund will be offered.
Guarantees/Warranties offered on our product range are non-transferable.
General
Contemporary Spaces has the right to cancel an order at their discretion.
These terms apply to your order and you should not proceed with your order until you have read and agreed to these terms and conditions.
We reserve the right to change these terms and conditions at any time. Therefore please revisit this section on your subsequent visits.
Returns and Refunds
Note: Your statutory rights are not affected in any way
In compliance with the Consumer Contracts (Information, Cancellation and Additional Charges) Regulations 2013, should you wish to cancel your order after delivery has been made, you will be required to contact us as soon as possible and within 14 calendar days of delivery being made by emailing us at [email protected]. .
Please note once we have despatched an item(s) to you, the item cannot be cancelled and the below returns procedure comes into effect with their respective charges.
It is the responsibility of the customer to return the unused goods in their original packaging, in the condition in which they were delivered, using a safe and secure method at their own cost. We will not accept any responsibility or liability for any damage to your goods delivered by your courier. The forwarding delivery is at your own risk when using your courier.
Goods should be returned to the address supplied by Contemporary Spaces (goods should not be returned until the customer has received written confirmation of the return address from Contemporary Spaces). We would recommend you use a tracked/recorded and insured delivery method, as we cannot be held liable for missing or damaged goods.
Where items are refused at the point of delivery and returned back to us. The buyer is liable to cover the return carriage costs. This charge will be calculated according to the number of items to be returned and size of the item(s).
In all cases, your product must be complete and in “as new” condition with the original and undamaged box and packaging. If you have opened the box to examine the product, you must have done so without damaging or marking the product or packaging. The product must not have been assembled, set up or used. It should be returned with the original box and packaging, along with any accessories you received with it. Cushions and cushion covers, weather covers and associated fixtures and fittings should be untouched and in the original packaging.
Upon receipt of the goods, we will inspect them to ensure all items are within the returned package and the goods are in the condition in which they were sent.
We cannot therefore offer a refund when:
You request to return your item after 14 calendar days from the date of receipt.
The goods are returned to us in an unsalable condition or in any condition other than the condition to which they were delivered and received.
The goods were a bespoke, made to order or special order product to your specification.
Once the goods have been received by Contemporary Spaces we will refund you using the original payment method and subject to the conditions set out above. Refunds can take up to 14 days to be credited to the card used for payment and will be subject to the goods arriving back to our warehouse in the condition which they left.
Business to Business transactions are not covered by The Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013. We do not accept returns or offer refunds on business to business transactions.
Faulty or Damaged Goods
Where goods are received by the customer in a damaged or faulty condition please ensure you sign your delivery note as DAMAGED. This will allow us to recover any losses from the courier. Failure to note the items as a DAMAGED may will result in us being unable to offer a replacement, as the goods will have been signed for in perfect condition.
Contemporary Spaces will arrange for a replacement to be sent to the customer. Any damage which occurs during transport must be reported to us within 24hrs. If there is a product defect, please notify us within 48hrs. Please retain all the original packaging.
The customer may be required to return faulty or damaged goods before a replacement can be made.
Where this is the case the cost of return postage will be met by Contemporary Spaces.
In all cases we reserve the right to inspect the product and verify the fault. In order to do this we require images of the product to be sent to us either via email to [email protected] quoting your order number. We will not agree to a replacement or refund without images.
Replacement goods are sent by standard delivery only. Collection of the goods will only take place from the delivery address to which they were delivered and will be subject to the following conditions:
If collection cannot be made from your chosen location due to the nature of the premises, because there is insufficient access or for any other reason that is not within our reasonable control, including your absence at the time of collection, you agree to pay our reasonable additional collection fees and the costs of re-arranging collection.
Delivery Information
We offer FREE STANDARD DELIVERY* on all orders.
Your order will usually arrive within 2-5 working days (unless otherwise stated on the item’s delivery tab on the product page) for UK mainland. If we cannot supply the goods within this time frame we will contact you to inform you as soon as possible.
Pallet deliveries are to the kerbside only. Some items arrive on a wooden pallet and the driver is not responsible for removing the packaging or setting out the furniture. Should a second delivery of the same items be requested a re-delivery fee will apply.
The majority of larger items will generally be delivered by a vehicle via tail-lift to a hard standing level area using a manual pallet trolley, so please be sure your property is accessible for this type of delivery. We will not be able to deliver palleted goods on a sloping surface or gravel driveways.
For orders of multiple items, the estimated delivery date will be assigned according to the longest lead time. If multiple orders are placed for the same delivery address, these may be grouped and the estimated delivery date will again be chosen according to the longest lead time.
*If your delivery address is in the Scottish Highlands & Islands, Isle of Wight, Isle of Man or Northern Ireland an additional delivery surcharge will apply.
